What is PED Certification?
The pressure equipment directive (PED) 2014/68/EU is a European union standard developed by the members of the European Union. The standard is developed & published to regulate the design & fabrication process involved in the manufacturing of the pressure equipment, which is to be installed or used in the European union member nations.
The pressure equipment are the equipment that operates under high pressure such as steam boilers, pipes, pressure vessels, valves & other assemblies which are subjected to the high pressure during operations. The Pressure equipment which in operating conditions has a pressure greater than 0.5 bar comes under the scope of directives & therefore has mandatory requirement of CE marking. In PED Certification the verification of the processes from design to the user instruction manual is covered.
